About us
SixtyEightyThirty was set up by local people to fill a gap in services for victims of domestic abuse. We opened on 3 November 2003 and became a registered charity in January 2004. As research shows that the majority of victims of domestic abuse are women it was decided that the service should focus on this section of the population.
On 1st April 2008 we became a Company Limited by Guarantee, whilst still remaining a registered charity.
We offer practical and emotional support to women and their children in Northumberland who have experienced domestic abuse at any time in their lives, regardless of sexual orientation, religion, culture or gender assigned at birth. Our aim is to empower women to lead safe and healthy lives. SixtyEightyThirty is a confidential service run by women for women. We also raise awareness of domestic abuse and offer training to workers of other agencies.
We support women what ever their situation. They may be:
Confused about what to do
Thinking about leaving
Wanting to stay

Need Advice, Counselling or practical help.
To contact us please telephone 01434 608030.
Our office hours are 9am to 5pm week days, but we have a secure answerphone on at all times.
